The Fool's Detour explores how we as humans navigate and learn through our experiences. Inspired by the mysticism of the tarot, the Fool’s journey begins with naivety and the desire for something new. He oscillates between hope and disillusionment, combating fear with perseverance.
After a long battle, he finds himself at the end of his journey with an acceptance that elicits pride in finding comfort in the discomfort. This brings him to the beginning of a new cycle fully equipped with the tools he gained from the last.
The addition to the painting is he “Blind Tarot”. Inspired by the Marseille Tarot deck, is representative of the major arcana and serves as an interpretation of guidance on his journey.
